At Round Lake Camp we believe that evary camperdeserves friends, fun and laughter in an acceptong environment. Campers make lasting friendships. Our program of therapeutic recreation in designed so that every activity - recreational, social and educational - is planned to meet the capabililties od each child. Our camp is structured so that each camper receicves guidance in the widest possible variety of recreational skills and social opportunities available. Our program is also flexible enough to allow for individual interests, need, supportive sevices and scoial skills training. Having a successful summer and carrying that into the school year is our main goal.

THe ROUND LAKE EXPERIENCEThe group experience is the keystone to success. Campers are placed eothin a comaptible cabin group where every opportunity for self-understanding and friendship is provided. Friendship, loualty and communication are the cornerstone of the every camper's goals. Our cabin setting, encourage this each and every moment at Round Lake Camp. We also offer Social Skills training, Occupational/Speech Therapy Adaptive Physical Education and Mental Health counseling on-site.

THE ROUND LAKE CAMPERGenerally, Campers come from both public and private education settings in which they have been part of resource programs and self-contained classrooms. Some of our campers attend small procate schools. No child shall ve excluded from admission or participation based solely on race, color, creed or national origin. However, acceptance is contingent upon approproate interviews and supportive material which are consistant with camp's philosophy. Social communication disorders include, but are not limited to, the followin; Aspergers, PDD/NOs, High Funtioning Autism,ADD/ADHD

THE ROUND LAKE PROGRAMEvery activity and event is designed to offer campers life skills that lead to success and a feeling of occomplishment. Our team related programs are there to encourage our camper in becoming part of a group. Camp is structured to enable each camper to respind ti clear and consisent experctations, as well as camp responding to the individual needs, abilities ande expectations of our campers.

Our camp activities include atheltics,boatin, swimming, sailing mountain biking, jet skiing, arts and crafts, pioneering, crative movement, drama, music, nature ,horseback reding, ropes, woodshop, cooking, activities for daily living, ceremics and animal therapy. In addition, camp provides some academic experoences that focus on the needs of each camper. Reading, language development and mathematical abilities are addressed. Campers who receive specific speech and language work and/or occupational therapy can continue these supports as well.
