Camp Mennoscah is built on 160 acres that is divided by the South Fork of the Ninnescah River. Many acres of prairie offer a peaceful setting for a personal or group retreat. As a part of the Western District Conference, Camp Mennoscah offers Christians a camping program in which the gospel of Jesus Christ can be experienced in all activities. The camp also offers nine weeks of children's camps and is available to church groups, schools, business groups and families. Please call or e-mail for more information or to make reservations.
The Young people of the Western District Conference had their first organized retreat in 1925 on the Bethel College campus. In April, 1948, the Western District Conference Youth Fellowship purchased the property located near Murdock, Kansas. The first retreat at Camp Mennoscah was held in 1949 when a small group of young people pitched their tents on the west side of the river near the old farmstead.
