DescriptionOur goal is to provide an opportunity for every participant to be inspired by the sights, sounds and experiences of the ocean and its inhabitants. We have a revolutionary vessel to serve as a platform for state of the art field expeditions away from the land based classrooms and into the heart of the marine environment.
We are currently offering our marine expeditions in Southern California thru 2010, we anticipate returning to the Hawaiian Island for the winter season 2011. The current economic state and limited air travel options to Hawaii is the reason for suspending our Hawaiian expeditions. Any Hawaiian School interested in coming to California for an expedition, please contact us for special arrangements (800) 460-2575. Our Southern California Expeditions primarily go to Catalina Island, we offer a couple of trips a year to Anacapa Island. Santa Catalina Island is 20 miles from Los Angeles / Long Beach Harbor. Both Los Angeles (LAX) and Long Beach (LGB) offer airports. The close proximity to the island allows us maximum time on the water. Catalina Island offers us an excellent backdrop to explore with clear and calm waters. Anacapa Island is a small volcanic island located about 11 miles off the coast of Oxnard (Channel Islands Harbor), California. Anacapa is part of the Channel Islands archipelago (island chain), and is part of the Channel Islands National Park. It is the smallest of the northern islands. The island is actually composed of three islets: East Island, Middle Island and West Island. Details
