Description

This summer is our 68th consecutive year at Ten Mile Point on the Eastern Shore of Skaneateles Lake, following 21 years at Morning Star Manor on Little York Lake. The camp has 100 acres of land enhanced by large shade trees, sprawling lawns, surrounding hills and Ten Mile Creek, in addition to 1,500 feet of lakefront. There are 19 cabins, a main lodge, infirmary, chapel, dining hall, canteen, boathouse and modern bathrooms.

The mission of Lourdes Camp, which is under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse, is to provide an opportunity for youngsters to grow spiritually, physically, emotionally and socially in a wholesome, caring, outdoors environment. It is a learning experience filled with fun and excitement, available to boys and girls of all faiths between the ages of 7 and 14.

Campers choose their own activities for the week from arts and crafts, sailing, canoeing, pontoon boating, archery, hiking, soccer, tennis, basketball, fishing and volleyball. Ropes and challenge course is available for an additional fee.

All campers are required to participate in our daily swimming program. Campers are tested on the first day of camp and placed in groups according to skill level. Waterfront activities are carefully supervised by staff who are American Red Cross certified, and all swimming and safety rules are strictly enforced.

Campers are assigned to cabins by age and may request to bunk with one friend. We can guarantee placement together ONLY if that camper has requested you as a cabin mate. To ensure that bunkmates receive the same week, please mail registration forms in the SAME envelope. Our largest cabins hold 16 campers and the smallest 10; there are two counselors per cabin.
