DescriptionDeep in the Big Pines Recreation area of Angeles National Forest, Teresita Pines resides on 8-1/2 acres of breathtaking scenery, utter peace and a facility to meet your needs. The Wilderness Camp for Deaf Children of California & Nevada in Northern California bought the camp in 1995 from Catholic Daughters of America. Improvements began to get the camp into shape and by 1998 a separate management group (separate from the northern camp) was formed to handle the increasing rentals, upkeep and improvements. Lions Clubs in the area adopted cabins financially and with many volunteer hours. Over the years, Lions upgraded the facility into a desirable year-round camp. Two weeks of camp for the deaf have been held here every year. As of 2006, all assets from the northern camp have been turned over to the Teresita Pines management team. Lions Camp at Teresita Pines is the Southern California home of Lions Wilderness Camp for the Deaf and hard of hearing. This is a camp where a deaf child can learn outdoor skills and fully enjoy the wonder and beauty of nature. It is a unique camp developed especially for deaf children to learn and socialize in their own language of signs. For more information about these camp sessions including registration procedures,
