DescriptionWelcome to our new website! While we have made every attempt to make this new site seamless, we realize that there may be a glitch or two. If you encounter a problem, please email our webmaster. Nestled in the hills of the Taconic Range in Columbia County, New York, Hawthorne Valley Farm, along with its sister branch, the Visiting Students Program,is one of several enterprises under the umbrella organization of the Hawthorne Valley Association, a nonprofit operation dedicated to agriculture, education, and the arts. Hawthorne Valley Farm has been producing high-quality, nutritious food for more than 35 years. Our biodynamic farming practices reflect our commitment to protecting the health of the earth and all who live on it. Our education and outreach programs strive to raise awareness of the social, ecological, and economic importance of agriculture in our daily lives. At Hawthorne Valley Farm, education is at the core of much of the work we do. The public is always invited to visit and walk around the farm. Guided tours are given between 10:30 and 12:30 on the first and third Wednesdays of each month; advanced notice is greatly appreciated. Weekend tours are given at 10:30 on the third Sunday of each month, by appointment only, and must be booked by the preceding Thursday. Tours are given free of charge, but donations are welcome.
