DescriptionThe International Music Institute and Festival USA is an intense summer program for accomplished young violinists, violists, cellists, and pianists. Our faculty are internationally acclaimed performers who are committed to assisting the next generations of musicians reach their personal and musical goals. Admission is limited, ensuring maximum personal attention to each student and thus great progress within a relatively short amount of time. Former participants have continued on to successful professional careers. Program Features
Concert TourThe Institute is followed by a concert tour (optional), in which pre-selected participants stay with local families and perform concerts in Maryland and Pennsylvania. See events for details. LeadershipIMIF-USA was founded by President of Intermuse Performing Artists Bureau, Dr. Charles H. Borowsky and his wife, renowned cellist Prof. Cecylia Barczyk. IMIF-USA is organized under the auspices of Intermuse and the International Friends of Music, in collaboration with the American String Teachers Association and Mount St. Mary's University. Details
