Description

The creative arts is the by word for this special week of camp. The staff, both summer and volunteer, use their gifts in vocal and instrumental music, creative writing, hand bells, guitar, drama, journalism, dance, drama, woodworking, outdoor living and traditional camp activities. Bring your instrument, your voice, your creativity and your love of nature to Joy of Creation camp.

Kirkwood Camp and Conference Center is owned and operated by the Presbytery of Philadelphia. and consists of 286 acres with such diversity

as large meadows for games, a pond for boating and swimming, and hiking trails winding through laurel hammocks, piney forests, and

stands of hardwood. The highlights of this site include the suspension bridge which crosses Big Pocono Creek which is suitable for tubing, fly

fishing and environmental studies, as well as "the ridge" which gives a majestic view of the Pocono mountains including the Delaware Water

Gap. As a camper once said, "Camp would not be camp without a ridge and a bridge". Kirkwood is accredited by the American Camp Association.
