It is with mixed emotions that I am writing this letter. Camp Binyan Torah has become a truly wonderful program that has affected the lives of many high school boys, and I sincerely value the summers we were privileged to spend with each of you over the last seven years. Nonetheless, for a variety of reasons, and after many hours of discussion, we have made the difficult decision that camp will not be continuing this coming summer. We are aware that this announcement may come as a surprise to many of you, especially on the heels of such a successful summer experience this past year. We will always remember and appreciate how many campers and parents believed in the purpose of Camp Binyan Torah. I am sure that we will all retain the memories of a fantastic summer program that allowed us to have fun, learn, build, and grow together. Camp Binyan Torah has affected the lives of many of us, including my own, and I hope that we can continue to enjoy the warm relationships that we feel towards each of you for many years to come.

As the Jerusalem Connection and Lessin Family continue to be fully committed to our mission of reaching out to the Jewish People, I am pleased to announce that this notice does not signify the end of an effort but rather a shift in direction. This coming summer, we will be embarking on a new and exciting route. Under the directorship and leadership of Adam Lessin, we will be opening the Binyan Torah Summer Kollel in Richmond, VA, a place for post high-school boys, including those returning from their year(s) in Israel and beyond, to come together in a serious Torah environment amidst people who understand the true meaning of southern hospitality. Rabbi Chaim Moskowitz shlita will serve as the Rosh Kollel, and I will be involved as well as Mashgiach Ruchani. I am aware that this new learning initiative may not apply to your son at this time, but it is, in our view, the most effective and valuable way for us to continue channeling our efforts. We look forward to staying in touch with you in the coming years, and may this mark the beginning of an exciting new direction for all of us.
