At the Greyhound Tennis Camp we believe in providing each camper with the opportunity to improve through basic instruction and stroke refinement. The camp is designed for the serious tennis player at any level from beginner to advanced. Personal individualized instruction will be available for everyone. Our emphasis is on instruction and supervised practice drills to maximize growth.
We take supervision of the campers very seriously. All of our staff are housed in the dorms with the campers. Jim Walker is the dorm supervisor and stays in the dorm as well. Campers are well supervised at all activities and when traveling to and from the courts and all activities. Also, there is very little free time at camp. Moravian College is a safe community that has its own police force that is on patrol at all times. During most of our camp sessions there is another camp of similar age so there are lots of people around.
We have no tennis planned and it is a day off for our staff. If it is not possible to go home, the Greyhound Camp Staff will supervise campers who stay. The campers and staff usually go out to the courts to play tennis on the off day. There will be a $25 charge to cover our expenses for each camper who stays over.
