The Skidmore Baseball Camp is designed to teach the basic fundamentals of hitting, fielding, base running, catching and pitching as well as advanced skills and techniques. Each day the camp will finish with game competition.

Ron Plourde enters his 12th season at the helm of Skidmore baseball. Plourde guided the Thoroughbreds to the 2007 and 2005 Liberty League Championships and the program's only two NCAA Division III appearances. The 2005 Liberty Coach of the Year led Skidmore to the 1999 Liberty League championship. An all-star player for St. Joseph's College of Maine, Plourde came to Skidmore after a successful playing and coaching stint at his alma mater. He was the assistant baseball coach at St. Joseph's for four seasons and the head women's soccer coach for two seasons. During his time, he helped guide the baseball team to three consecutive Maine Athletic Conference championships.

Bob Bogdan enters his ninth year as an assistant coach at Skidmore. During that time Skidmore has enjoyed its greatest success in the program's history winning two Liberty League championships. Coach Bogdan is a "true teacher of the game" with the ability to work with any age group on any given skill. Coach Bogdan is Skidmore's pitching coach but also works regularly with catchers and hitters. Prior to coming to Skidmore, Coach Bodgan had a great career coaching at South Glens Falls, winning a number of league and sectional titles.

Eric Thompson begins his 10th year at Skidmore. Coach Thompson comes to Skidmore following a great career at St. Joseph's College where he helped guide the Monks to four straight New England championships. He remains in the record books in many offensive categories. Coach Thompson works with our infielders and hitters.
