Lise L. Luttgens was appointed as Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles' first Chief Executive Officer and assumed her role on December 1, 2008 when the new Girl Scout council began operation. The organization is the result of a historic merger of six Los Angeles area legacy Girl Scout councils.

Angeles Girl Scout Council, Girl Scout Council of Greater Long Beach, Girl Scouts - Joshua Tree Council (southeastern portion), Girl Scouts - Mt. Wilson Vista Council, Girl Scouts - Spanish Trails Council, and Girl Scouts of the San Fernando Valley recently completed an 18-month merger process to form a single council that now serves approximately 45,000 Girl Scouts in partnership with 22,000 volunteers throughout the greater Los Angeles community and parts of San Bernardino and Kern counties. The council serves more than 350 diverse communities and is the largest girl-serving non profit agency in Los Angeles County.  

Prior to assuming this role, Ms. Luttgens was Principal and Founder of Luttgens & Associates, Inc., an executive coaching and consulting firm specializing in nonprofit and health care organizations in transition. The Pasadena Tournament of Roses is planning a fun evening that will help Girl Scouts who are working on their Tournament of Roses Badge, Patch, or Interest Project meet requirements and introduce other Girl Scouts to the float building process. Girl Scouts will hear from an expert about the mechanics and building of floats, learn the float judging process, develop float ideas and more.
