The goal of the camp is to serve the youth of the low country by providing an affordable avenue of personal development through the game of football. Basic fundamentals will be taught by a qualified staff while maintaining a fun and relaxed atmosphere.Enhancing each camper’s athletic skills while promoting intangible qualities such as leadership, sportsmanship and teamwork will be the objective. On December 13, 2002 Charleston Southern University announced the hiring of Jay Mills as Head Football Coach. Twenty-eight years of experience fill a resume’ that includes stints at such prominent schools such as Boise State University, Harvard University and the University of Notre Dame. Honored with the All- American Football Foundation’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002 and recognized as the Big South Conference Coach-of-the-Year in 2005, Coach Mills has established a consistent reputation for productivity on-the-field and professionalism off-the-field. “Faith, family, academics, football, social” are the priorities for the young men that come under his tutelage.
