Description

Welcome to our Brave Arts Family. Our mission is to teach each of our campers how to be a member of a functional community while gently guiding them as they see their dreams become reality. Together we will go on a journey where we will explore all the moving parts that make a theatrical production come alive.

In order to be successful on stage, one should strive to become a triple threat: a person who can sing, dance, and act with confidence. Our promise is that each camper will leave Brave Arts with a new set of skills that will be with them as they pursue future endeavors, both on stage and off. Everyone has been blessed with their own unique gifts - one child might be destined for film, while another may have aspirations to become a production manager, responsible for all the technical aspects of support such as set design, lighting and sound. Our campers will be exposed to all the behind-the-scenes parts that make a mainstage performance become whole. In addition to learning musical numbers, our campers will also attend a variety of workshops, which will give us the opportunity to identify areas of strength and to appropriately guide each child.

The caring and support for the campers begins at check-in, yet it continues long after their pick-up, as we will take an interest in supporting each family member as they pursue their dreams in the arts. Having a staff who has ”been there," are on their way "there", or helped take others "there" allows the camper to see the steps needed to take in order to reach his or her own personal goals. Our home will be a place where each member will feel safe and loved as they take chances they never dreamed they could and reach a personal comfort level they can carry with them for the rest of their lives.

Don’t be surprised if you hear your child saying, “There is no place like home" - their new Brave Arts home.
