We’re all different. Our likes and dislikes make us who we are. At Firebird Camp for Girls, we consider the individual needs and choices of each camper. Within our structured program, we meet those needs. No two summers are alike and no two summer camp programs are the same. Each reflects the varying personalities of campers. Through special events, outdoor camp activities, sports, instruction in areas of interest and trips, campers develop the skills that are learned through participation.



Located in the beautiful foothills of the West Virginia mountains in Eastern Ohio, Firebird has been a premiere private summer camp since 1954. Firebird offers sessions starting at 1 week up to 5 weeks for ages 6 to 15. Qualified 16 year old campers may be invited to become counselors in training (CITs). About two-thirds of the camp experience is co-ed with brother/sister Camp Roosevelt for Boys. Firebird has a separate campus from Roosevelt, and has more than 45 activities and programs including horseback riding, arts and crafts, dance, music, theater, cheerleading, gymnastics, climbing, ecology, sailing, canoeing, archery, riflery, Indian-lore, tripping and more. There are also lots of special events and activities throughout the summer like Pirate Tuesday on Wednesday, Backwards Day, President's Day, Pow-Wow Day, Carnival Day, Elections, and Com-Chee Kickoff .
