Trade Winds Lake Camp was founded in 1989 to provide Summer Learning opportunities while also offering a traditional and joyous summer experience for children throughout New York and New Jersey. Located in historic Broome County, Trade Winds Lake Camp is about 160 miles from New York City.
Trade Winds Lake Camp covers 251 acres and is situated on a mountain top. With spectacular hills, farmlands, woods and streams almost two thousand feet above sea level and gently sloping to the shores of our 30-acre environmentally-protected, spring-fed lake, the site provides a magnificent natural environment as a backdrop for all of Trade Winds Lake’s exciting programs. The Camp has extensive facilities, including fully-enclosed basketball courts and new outdoor basketball courts, tennis courts, a boating program, archery facilities, a learning center, an indoor stage and a camper-administered radio station.
At Trade Winds Lake Camp, the Three Rights system is utilized in every element of Camp, giving youngsters the opportunity to build on existing qualities and develop new ones.
