DescriptionThe College Settlement of Philadelphia is located on 235 acres in Horsham Township, PA, fifteen miles north of the city Philadelphia. Established in 1889, The College Settlement began as a settlement house in South Philadelphia. Our residential camp offers camping experiences to children ages 8-12 who could not otherwise afford such opportunities. The College Settlement Camp offers children from different ethnic, cultural and social backgrounds the opportunity to live, play and learn together. We do not discriminate as to race, creed, color, national origin, special needs or gender. During their stay campers will live in cabins. They will enjoy participating in activities such as swimming, boating, crayfishing, creek crawling, berry picking, campfires, sports, games, crafts, camping out and participating in a talent show or a dance. There is an endless list of fun things to choose from! Most twelve year old campers will have a chance to experience wilderness camping for four days and three nights at our Spruce Run Outpost in the Poconos. The basic fee for a two week session is $210.00. Camperships are available to children unable to afford this amount. The basic cost may also be adjusted upward according to a camper's ability to pay. A $35.00 administration fee is due from all campers at the time of registration. Each camper may enroll for one session only. Details
