Salta! Jump into Spanish is an enrichment program designed to enhance your child’s love of learning a new language.



Salta! will naturally teach your child the Spanish language while having fun in every corner.  Through music, movement and instruments, songs and rhymes, playful games and storytelling, children will embark on a wonderful journey through play and learning.



While attending Salta! Classes, children won’t even realize that they are learning Spanish because they are too busy having fun!  Our program offers a time for children to socialize, expand their surroundings, and increase their coordination and motor skills during play.



For the older child: Learning to “think” in Spanish is also an important component of the program.  Our goal is to teach children how to decode the language by speaking.  We encourage the children to not only hear the language but also to try to form their own sentences and phrases.  



Children will embark on a journey of Spanish fluency through fun and imagination.

Summer Camp Program - Edison Location    

Join us for this unique program in which we combine learning Spanish with all the fun and excitement of a vibrant summer camp.  Once the children walk through our doors, it is as if they’ve stepped into a Spanish speaking country!  

Our program offers:

•        creative and engaging themes

•        outdoor sports such as volleyball, tennis, soccer and basketball

•        swimming

•        music

•        latin dance

•        games to challenge their knowledge of Spanish

•        arts and crafts

•        Visits from our animal and reptile friends

•        NEW!! Theater program

…all with the underlining purpose to increase their Spanish repertoire.  

Salta’s method of teaching is called “Think in Spanish” which means that we encourage all the children that enter our program to not only listen to what the teachers are saying but also to speak back to them.  We strongly believe that this is the only way children will become fluent.  When children need anything in the classroom, the teachers will work with the children to help them create sentences in Spanish and ask for what they need.  It takes patience and dedication, which are two of the many qualities our teachers possess.

Children may attend our Summer Camp Program in three ways:  You can enroll your child for Monday, Wednesday and Friday or Tuesday and Thursday or all five days!

The more days they go the more they will know!



Children must enroll for 2 weeks at a time.  Listed below are the topics we will be covering in depth:



Animals around the world!  (4 and 5 years old)

Children will meet and learn about animals from around the world in Africa, South and Central America, the Arctic, as well as, animals from our own backyard!  Children will learn about their habitats, what foods they eat, where they sleep and how they play.  Children will also use their creative talents to transform their room into a jungle with vines and trees.  Children will also put on a small show for you at the end of the summer to show you what they have learned!



Amazing Rainforest Adventure   (6 - 8 years old)

Take a trip through the Rain forests of South and Central America.  Learn about the animals that live in the tallest trees, discover who hides in the Deep forest, what lurks in the dark forest floor and what slithers in the Jungle Rivers.  Learn about the music, climate and culture of the rainforest and listen to its vibrant sounds.  As the weeks go by, the children will use there creative talents to transform their room into the Rain forests of South and Central America. Children will also put on a show for you at the end of the summer to show you what they have learned!



Famous Stories and Theater Workshop (9 - 12 years)



This summer engage your children in theater, acting and improvisation!  They will read and act out short stories to enrich their souls and laugh out loud. Children will all have opportunities to act out characters in the story regardless of acting ability.  The idea is to get the children speaking Spanish without them realizing they are doing it.   Art, music, dance and creative writing are all part of the fun.  Fun and Sun, what could be better!



Summer camp begins on June 28th and ends on August 27th.  You can enroll your child for 2 weeks at a time.  



The hours of the summer camp are from 9:00am to 4:00pm, Mondays through Friday.  We will also offer before care from 7:30 – 9:00 am and after care until 6:00pm.  The before and after care form is attached to this packet.
