What will a typical day be like for your child? For all campers ages 3 - 12, a typical day starts with free choice activities. We will have arts and crafts, or puzzles and games, or dress-up clothes out for the campers to play with. After this free time, there will be a dance class followed by a healthy snack. After that there is another dance class followed by a short free time activity. Tumbling is next, followed by lunch, which is usually eaten outside (weather permitting). The children are given some play time outside (on warmer days there is also water play in a sprinkler). We then go back inside to watch a dance video, either a short dance movie, a selection from a ballet, or a musical. Later in the day we do worksheets and activities to learn more about music, anatomy and dance history. The day is finished with some fun arts and crafts.
For three and four year olds, who have a shorter camp day, there is no outside playtime or lunch, however, the other activities are the same, just shortened for their attention span.
