Description

Located near the center of the Reservation beside Half Moon Lake, Camp Aquehonga features rugged, old-fashioned Scout camping with patrol cooking, mixed with many modern facilities, including an olympic-sized swimming pool.

Camp Keowa, located on Crystal Lake, our largest lake, is a great place for boating, canoeing, sailing and waterskiing. Meals are provided family-style in a large dining hall, where mealtime program abounds.

Fun-filled, traditional Scouting program is provided at Camp Ranachqua. Ranachqua's dining hall serves family-style meals, and overlooks the beautiful Lake Nianque.

Throughout the summer, various special camping opportunities are available to older scouts, such as Trail to Eagle Camp, Aquatics Camp, Scuba Camp, Venturing Camp and Junior Leader Training Camp. TMR also offers provisional camping and a Webelos Resident Camp.

Rapidly becoming the "Philmont of the Northeast," TMR's growing Trek Program offers backpacking excursions to scouts from all over the region. Scouts may come with their unit, or take part in a provisional trek. Trips vary in length, and include both hiking and canoeing, if desired.

A unique facility nestled in the woods alongside Lake Nianque, Family Camp enables families to share the joys of nature together. Private full-service cabins are available weekly. Guests are afforded a full Aquatics, Shooting Sports, Campfire and Crafts program, and much more.

Supporting the activities and programs of all the TMR camps are the resources and staff of the central Headquarters Camp.

Between September and May, over 20 locations are available for units to hold their weekend camping trips. Facilities include tent & leanto sites, and many newly-renovated, heated cabins.
