camp Pontiac was estabished for boys and girls in 1922.for many years it was a highly regarded camp under the direction of the horowitz family. In 1995,pontiac was in jeopardy of closing,following the same fate as many other camps. At that point,the Etra family purchased Camp Pontiac and with the infusion oftremendous capital and the immense effort of many individuals, Pontiac was reborn. The entire infrastructure and external facility has been rebuilt, and we now boast one of the most beautiful, spacious and expansive facilities in the camping industry. With approximately 575 campers and 320 staff, we are now established as one of the premier camps in the northeast. We have a very active and large alumni and many return to visit to rekindle fond memories of their youth.
