Cathedral Camp is located in East Freetown, MA, on the southern shore of beautiful Long Pond - a shallow, warm water pond, the largest natural body of water in Massachusetts. Since the camp has been in operation for almost 90 years, it has a long tradition, not the least of which is its reputation for water sports.



Our mission as a ministry of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fall River is to offer quality camping opportunities in an atmosphere where Judeo-Christian principles are modeled by the way we treat one another and our environment.



Girls and boys between the ages of 4 and 13, of all races and creeds, are welcome at Cathedral Camp's Summer Day Camp. We offer a multitude of summer camp activities, including certified swimming instruction, boating, sailing, water skiing, archery, field sports, athletics, arts and crafts, dance, music, field trips, contests, playground activities, outdoor adventures, and other special events. Bus transportation to the surrounding towns is included in the Cathedral Camp basic fee.



To ensure the best use of time, some structure is built into the day's camp activities. Campers are grouped into units according to their age and gender. Their own group counselors, as well as department counselors supervise, instruct, and guide the children as they move through six periods of activity each day. This model allows for variety and flexibility when special events are scheduled.



Cathedral Camp is proud to be an accredited member of the American Camp Association (ACA). We also belong to the Massachusetts Camping Association.



The Cathedral Camp Retreat & Conference Center can accommodate a wide variety of functions in serving the group and individual needs of Church, school, and professional organizations. Our retreat facilities are the perfect setting for Confirmation retreats, days of recollection, outings, conferences and workshops, overnight retreats for adults and youth, and many other functions. With ample accommodations for 71 overnight guests, multi-function buildings that feature a main dining room, a large auditorium, and several smaller conference rooms, the Cathedral Camp Retreat & Conference Center is the ideal choice in the perfect setting for any special function.
