Nestled in the beautiful town of Larchmont, located on the Long Island Sound outside of New York City, Badger Sports Club has been serving children since 1945. Badger was founded with children, exercise and summer fun in mind. Under tall trees lies ten acres of land dedicated to the summer.

During the 1940's Jack and Ruth Collins began using the Badger name in association to various camps and activities that they ran including ice skating and dancing around Westchester county. Jack believed that you could provide physical fitness to children through sports fundamentals in a fun environment and he began to look for a permanent location for Badger.

A location in Larchmont, New York with a swimming pool, tennis courts and more was found and would be perfect as a permanent location for all types of activities for children. The concept of Badger had found a home. In 1945 Badger Sports Club was founded.

Through experience and instruction Badger has built a tradition of structure, fun and excellence. Year after year Badger has strived to maintain Jack Collins's philosophy to learn sports fundamentals in a fun environment. Perhaps that is why so many of the Badger campers return year after year. Some campers return to become counselors and eventually when they have their own family send their children to camp. Making Badger one of the very best kept secrets in Westchester.

Since 1945 the Collins family has continued Jack's legacy continuing to offer the same quality and variety that makes Badger the Country Club of Summer Camps.
