DescriptionRainbow Camp of Massachusetts, Inc, was founded in 1948 by Mrs. Lulu H. Gobrecht, the founder of Rainbow Assemblies in Massachusetts.Rainbow Camp is a place where all Rainbow Girls may meet and prove the Friendship and Universiality of Rainbow. Campers are welcome from all Grand jurisdictions. The many friendships made at Rainbow Camp are among the most treasured memories of a Rainbow Girl. General InformationRainbow Camp is located in the Town of Hanson, on Route 58, about 38 miles south of Boston. Acres of beautiful shade trees, pines and the cove of Lake Maquan provide a setting for happy days – “in God’s Great Out-of-Doors”. The Campers are housed in cabins furnished with bunk beds. All are well-ventilated, screened, and have electric lights. Well-balanced meals are served in our dining hall. Variety is sufficient to assure that everyone will be fed. All Counselors and Junior Counselors are carefully selected. Through the efforts of the staff, campers have the opportunity to develop self-reliance, poise, and a cooperative attitude toward one another. Good sportsmanship is stressed in swimming, canoeing, archery, riflery, and other programs. We are licensed by the Board of Health and C.O.R.I. checks are completed on all staff. Details
