DescriptionCamp Acahela in Blakeslee, PA sits on a peninsula formed by the joining of two world-class fishing rivers, the Lehigh River and the Tobyhanna Creek. Acahela boasts 242 acres of variety from heavily wooded ridges and cliffs, to wide open parade fields, to shady groves of ancient fir trees that provide a wide variety of camping opportunities year-round for every type of Scouting unit and a dynamite Cub Scout Resident camping program during the summer months. In the winter we are just minutes from Jack Frost, Big Boulder, Split Rock and all the other ski resorts that the Poconos are famous for. Camp Acahela has it all, regardless of which type of unit you have or what kind of camping you want to do. In Summer, Acahela serves as the Council's Cub Scout Resident Camp and as a site for a number of groups who lease our facility for their summer camps. During the rest of the year, Acahela acts as a base for a wide variety of camping opportunities and expeditions. Located on the Pocono Plateau, Acahela is only minutes from excellent skiing, whitewater rafting, bike trails, and historic sites while having an abundance of great things to do and see right on the property.
